The Iola-Scandinavia School District Board will meet on Monday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. in the Elementary School Library and conducted via Zoom.

Requests to the Department of Public Instruction for Waivers of Instructional Hours Requirement, Length of School Day, Personnel Evaluations and 2020-21 Educator Effectiveness Cycle.

  1. Public hearing, pursuant to Wis. Stat. §118.38(1)(b), regarding submission of a request to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) to waive the minimum number of hours of instruction and length of school day for students set forth in Wis. Stat. §121.02(1)(f) and Wis. Stat. §121.06(2)(a) for the 2020-21 school year due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency and the school closure orders.

•    As part of the public hearing, the Board will review the written (email) or phone/zoom comments from members of the public regarding the request for the waiver, before discussing and taking action regarding the request for a waiver.

•   Written (email) comments regarding the waiver should be submitted via email to przekuratr@iola.k12.wi.us by Monday, December 14th at 3 p.m.

  • Public hearing, pursuant to Wis. Stat. §118.38(1)(b), regarding submission of a request to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) to waive the requirements to complete an Educator Effectiveness Cycle for educators and Personnel evaluations for educators in their Summary Year in 2020-21, including waivers of the requirements to meet PI 8.01, Wis. Stat. § 115.415 and 121.02(1)(q) for the 2020-21 school year only due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
