The Village of Iola Park’s Committee will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 4 p.m. in the Clerk’s Office of the Iola Village Hall at 180 South Main Street.

The committee, chaired by Rick Meyers and consisting of members Pamela Parks and Alan Bauer, will focus on key topics such as preparations for the annual Christmas in the Park event and addressing broken playground equipment at Taylor Field.

During the meeting, the committee will review the results of a recently held brat fry and bake sale on Aug. 24, which raised funds for park improvements. The condition of the playground equipment at Taylor Field will be updated following previous reports of damage, and plans for the popular Christmas in the Park celebration will be discussed.

The committee will also hear public presentations, with each person limited to two minutes. Other business that comes before the committee will be considered before setting the date for the next meeting.
