In conjunction with Lions International and the Iola-Scandinavia School District the Iola Lions held their annual Peace Poster Contest.
Lion Mark Forseth announced the winners of the contest to the sixth-grade class. They are: SageLee Tremba (1st Place), Taedym Peskie, Zach Erickson, Audrina Rowe, and Ruby Maus.
SageLee’s first-place poster has moved on to compete at the Lion’s district level.
The five winners will share a $250 prize pool.
Jill Willems, the school’s art teacher, said, “Thank you to Mark Forseth and the Iola Lions their efforts to continue this wonderful art contest. This poster contest unites our sixth graders to a wonderful community organization in a combined effort promoting peace globally!”
