Iola Lions organize annual stuff the bus event to support education

The Iola Lions Club is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual event, “Stuff the Bus,” scheduled to take place on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Iola Sentry Grocery Store.

The primary objective of this initiative is to gather school supplies for the upcoming academic year. With the collective effort of the community, the Lions aim to provide much-needed support to local students, ensuring they have the necessary tools to excel in their studies.

Lion Mark Forseth, a prominent figure within the club, expressed his enthusiasm for the event and emphasized its importance. He highlighted how the community can make a substantial impact on education by contributing new school supplies. Cash donations are also welcomed for those who prefer to contribute in this manner. For the convenience of early donors, there is an option to drop off donations at the store ahead of the event.

In conjunction with Stuff the Bus, the Lions Club has an exciting addition to the day’s activities – a Brat Fry! The Brat Fry will be taking place from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., providing an opportunity for attendees to enjoy delicious food while raising funds for additional school supplies.

The Iola Lions Club encourages everyone in the community to come forward and participate in this wonderful initiative. By doing so, they can play a significant role in empowering local students and setting them up for success in the upcoming school year.
