The Iola Lions Club invites Iola-Scandinavia residents interested in community service to its Jan. 16 dinner meeting at the Thirsty Perch in Iola.

Social hour starts at 6 p.m. and dinner follows at 6:30 p.m.

Membership in the Iola Lions Club is open to all men and women over the age of 18 who are willing to dedicate their time to serve the needs of our community. Whether you can give a little or a lot, your commitment will be honored by your peers and appreciated by your community. The Iola Lions enjoy serving the needs of our community as well as enjoy the fellowship and company of our fellow Lions. Friendships among Lions and their families come quickly and easily, and last lifetimes.

The club will host the State Level Peace Poster Contest winner and family.
