The Iola Lions are pleased to announce the winners of their annual Peace Poster Contest.

They are: First Place -Ahnna Check; Second Place – Sophia Munoz & Savannah Burgdorf; Third Place – Charlotte Isermann and Alex Hartman.

The Lions sponsor the contest in conjunction with Iola-Scandinavia Art Teacher Jill Willems and Lions International to encourage I-S sixth graders to think about peace by creatively expressing what it means to them.

“The high quality of the posters makes it extremely difficult for our judges to select the winners.  On behalf of the Iola Lions I want to thank and congratulate all students who submitted posters,” said Iola Lion Mark Forseth.

Ahnna Check’s poster will move on to the next level of judging with a chance to compete at the state and international level. Good luck Ahnna!
