The Iola Historical Society is gearing up for its August meetings and program, scheduled to take place on Monday, Aug. 28. The society, dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of Iola, has arranged a busy schedule for the evening.
The events will unfold at the Machine Shed, located at 222 Depot Street, Iola. The evening will commence with a board meeting at 5:30 p.m., followed by a membership meeting at 6:30 p.m.
The primary focus of these meetings will be the final planning for the upcoming Taste of Norway’s 13th Anniversary event. Moreover, during the meetings, there will also be discussions regarding the authorization of a Special Endowment Withdraw Acquisition of 1903 Ford Model A.
As the clock strikes 7 p.m., the program titled “Exploring Our Farming Heritage from IHS Photo Archive” will commence. Attendees are invited to join this engaging session, where they can immerse themselves in the rich farming heritage preserved in the society’s photo archive. This will not only provide insights into the area’s agricultural history but also serve as a platform for attendees to share their cherished memories and anecdotes related to the subject matter.
