Iola Historical Society to hear about Olaf Skye’s Iola connections

Machine Shed on the campus of the Iola Historical Society

Members of the Iola Historical Society and the public will be presented information on Olaf Skye’s Iola Connections on Monday, April 24, at 7 p.m. in the Machine Shed, 222 Depot Street Iola.

Skye, who lived 12872-1951, was a “Faithful Norwegian-American-Canadian Pioneer” and blacksmith, prospector, farmer, citizen, and family man.

The IHS will have its business meeting at 5:30 p.m., which will be followed by a membership meeting at 6:30 p.m.
