
The Iola Historical Society (IHS) will gather for its monthly meeting on Monday, March 31, at the Machine Shed, 222 Depot Street. The evening will begin with a Board Meeting at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Membership Meeting at 6:30 p.m.
A key focus of the meeting will be finalizing plans for upcoming community events, including the second annual Iola Viking Market, spring cleaning initiatives, and the Memorial Day Salute to Veterans.
Following the business portion of the meeting, at 7 p.m., attendees will enjoy an educational program titled “Maple Syrup Season: Change Has Come to the Sugar Bush,” presented by Mark “Goober” Sprangers. The program will explore the evolving traditions of maple syrup production.
The meeting will conclude with reminders for the next IHS Board and Membership Meetings, set for Monday, April 28. Members and guests are encouraged to attend and participate in shaping the society’s activities.
