The Iola Historical Society will delve into the fascinating history of one of its local industrial pioneers during its upcoming community meeting on Monday, Aug. 26.
The program, titled “Iola’s Grayhill: An Industrial Operation on the Cutting Edge,” will be presented by Bengt Hellgren and Jack Vater at 7 p.m. at the Machine Shed, at 222 Depot Street.
The evening will begin with a Board Meeting at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Membership Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Among the key agenda items to be addressed is the planning review for the annual Taste of Norway & Lost Arts Fair, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5. The Society will rely on volunteers to help make this community event a success.
In addition to discussing the upcoming fair, members will also focus on future events, including the Society’s hosting of the Waupaca County Historical Network on Monday, Oct. 14, from 9-11 a.m.
The meeting will conclude with a preview of the next Board and Membership Meetings, set for Monday, Sept. 30.
