Key Agenda Items
One of the primary topics of discussion will be the ongoing repairs needed for the Riverwalk. The committee will review current progress, evaluate additional necessary work, and discuss potential funding sources to ensure the completion of this important community feature. Community input and concerns about the Riverwalk will be acknowledged, with several attendees expected to voice their support for expedited repairs.
The proposal for installing a “Welcome to Iola” sign on a local silo will also be a highlight of the meeting. Members will deliberate on the design, placement, and potential impact of the sign on tourism and local pride. Discussions will also cover the sign on Highway 161.
The Community Development Authority remains committed to fostering Iola’s growth and ensuring that all development projects reflect the interests and needs of its residents. The meeting will adjourn with a reminder of the next steps and the collective commitment to community enhancement.
