Donors came from Iola, Scandinavia, Amherst, Amherst Junction, Rosholt, Manawa, and Ogdensburg.

Drive Coordinator Lion Sandi Moore reported, “Forty-nine donors came to the Iola-Scandinavia Fitness Center to give the gift of life. It was a great turnout and I would like to thank each one of them!

We achieved a total of 47 units donated. Unfortunately, a handful of donors were unable to give, generally due to low hemoglobin levels. In the 6 years or so that I have coordinated this event, my personal goal was to reach 50 donors. We almost made it!”

Now that Covid has somewhat subsided, we will again be offering fresh baked goods, fruits, and vegetables to donors.

This will start with our April 3 drive. This drive will be 12-5 p.m. at the Iola-Scandinavia Aquatic and Fitness Center. Please register ahead of time at 1-800-redcross or redcrossblood.org.
