Amy is married to her husband, Brent. They have three grown daughters named Emily, Maria, and Abby. Two of their daughters are married, and Amy has two granddaughters aged 10 and 8. Amy has four siblings, two brothers and two sisters.

Amy graduated from Oshkosh West High School. She attended Calvin College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, earning a B.A.: German Major/English Minor. She also attended Minnesota State at Mankato, Minnesota, earning a B.A. in Elementary Education.

Amy chose to work in a school because “I knew my calling was to be a teacher and work with children.”

She has traveled to Europe, Central America, and extensively in North America.

Amy enjoys travel, camping, backpacking and hiking, reading, cooking, and gardening.

Her goals are to travel more and see the world. She also wants to visit family members.

She lists her greatest accomplishment as raising her beautiful family.

Something you may not know is that Amy loves to visit museums to learn about history, nature, and other things.

On weekends she likes to be outside, relax, watch movies, read, and cook.

Amy coaches her students to be better readers and writers.

Her favorite sports team is the Packers and she enjoys all kinds of music. Her favorite books are the Harry Potter Series and her favorite movie is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
