The Iola-Scandinavia varsity softball team lost a non-conference home game to Winneconne 8-0 on Friday, April 19. The loss drops the Thunderbirds overall record to 7-3.

The T-Birds were outhit by the Wolves 12-6 and also left seven runners on base. Myah Heschke provided the only spark with two doubles.

Pitcher Julia Munoz lost her first game of the season. She pitched the first four innings allowing six hits, and one walk while striking out three batters. Munoz got little help from her offense and defense. The T-Bird defense committed three errors.

Rayanne Clendenning pitched the final three innings. She allowed six hits, no walks, and had one strikeout.

The junior varsity team also lost to Pacelli 17-12 in a five-inning game on the road on Friday, April 19. The loss drops the junior varsity record to 3-2.

The varsity team will host conference rival Bonduel on Monday, April 22, starting at 4:30 p.m.  The JV team will play at Auburndale that same day starting at 4:30 p.m.
