
The School District of Iola-Scandinavia will convene a special reorganizational meeting on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in Room #6 (Hygge) of the Iola Elementary School, located at 450 Division St., Iola, WI.
The agenda for the meeting includes the election of key officers, the assignment of committee chairs, and the appointment of various district representatives. The board is also expected to discuss the authorization of facsimile signatures on draft accounts, designation of depositories, and official designations for the district’s medical advisor and newspaper. Additionally, the board will finalize future meeting schedules and establish working committees.
The first order of business will be the election of district officers, including the President, Vice President, Clerk, and Treasurer. Afterward, the board will assign members to various committees, including Finance, Building and Grounds, Transportation, Personnel and Nominations, Curriculum, Policy and Legislation, and Negotiations.
During the meeting, representatives to important district organizations, such as CESA5, FVTC, and the WASB School Board Convention, will also be appointed.
Additionally, the board will designate depositories for the district’s finances, including both time deposits and demand deposits. Premier Community Bank, Bank First National, Farmers State Bank, Wisconsin Investment Series Cooperative, and US Bank are set to be the designated depositories for the district’s financial transactions.
The board will also designate the official newspaper and radio station for the district’s publications. The Lakes radio and the Waupaca County Post will serve as the district’s official radio station and newspaper for public announcements will also be assigned.
Furthermore, Dr. Randy Wojciehoski is set to be reappointed as the district’s medical advisor.
Finally, the board will discuss setting up working committees and establishing regular meeting times and dates for the upcoming year. The meeting is expected to conclude with adjournment, finalizing the operational structure for the next year.
