On Monday, July 13th our school board approved a framework to reopen our schools in the 2020-2021 school year. This framework was developed by a committee of 27 community members and staff. The plan is an overview of what we will be detailing out in the next couple of months. This document was compiled using recommendations from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, CDC, Waupaca County Health Department, and the other school districts in Waupaca County and surrounding counties.

Safety was our top priority when we developed this framework. Flexibility with this plan is one of our commitments because of the fluid nature of this situation. We understand that all of the fine details of our plan are not included in this document. Our staff and committee will be outlining these details in the next weeks and months. We will communicate all of these details to our staff and community once they are in place.

Our preference for instruction for the 2020-2021 school year is to have in-person classroom learning. We also created two alternative instructional models in the event that in-person classroom learning cannot occur.

Please use this link 2020-2021 plan to access the I-S reopening framework. The details of this framework will be released as we complete it, so make sure that you check our website for updates.

We encourage our students and families to continue practicing social distancing and adhere to the guidelines provided by the CDC and other entities so we can return to normal as soon as possible.
