Mrs. Kimberlisa Przychicki has been named director of Pupil Services and Special Education for the School District of Iola-Scandinavia.
“My name is Kimberlisa Przychocki (purr shock key). Along with my unusual name, I have an unusual resume working in different types of educational environments!
“This is my sixteenth year in education. For the last eleven years, I have worked for CESA 5 (Cooperative Educational Service Agency) in several different capacities. For the first six years, I was in charge of a school for students with significant behavioral challenges. I loved working with the staff, parents, and students!
“For the last five years, I have worked in the Adams-Friendship School District as their Behavioral Specialist. Again, such a rewarding position working with community members, staff, parents, and students. I wore many hats in the district, which helped me grow professionally.
“I am married and have a son who lives in Portland, Oregon. My spouse, Phillip, was in the Air Force, and we lived on an island off the coast of Portugal for three years-that was an adventure! I love the great outdoors; hiking, camping, as well as crafting (on my Cricut). I also love coffee and try new coffee shops all the time. I am a lifetime learner; I always seem to be in school. That also goes along with my love of books and reading.
“As a child, I had family in the area and have fond memories of coming to Iola for special events – like the Corn Roast. I am excited to join the Iola-Scandinavia School District! This is a dream come true!”
