Good news regarding our maintenance work this week!

We have all our 4 filters cleaned and new filter media in place, and today I fired up our pumps and all is running well so far.

Over the next few days all our pool chemicals and Ph will get back in-line and I am monitoring it all daily.

The water temps are cool but going up slowly.

A big thank you to Robbie and Gary for working with me on this HUGE project.

This project could not be done other times of the year due to temperatures and pool use.

Thankful to the I-S school board who approved this project as it was nearly $15,000 to complete and it went off as well as possible.

A little bit about what we did … Our filters had used sand to filter all the water and we changed from sand over to crushed glass. This crushed glass option does a wonderful job of filtering the water of all its impurities. The glass comes in three layers, a base layer, a middle layer, and a very fine layer- now each of our filters has about 35 bags of crushed glass in them.

Signage explained

We have been asked “daily” about the new signs up in the pool.

The health department has shared that pools across the state have to have warning signs about “No Breath Holding”.

Some long underwater breath holding games and long underwater swims can be dangerous.

If done too much, you can dizzy or pass-out without warning.

It is to make everybody aware.
