The following April report was submitted to the School District of Iola-Scandinavia Board at its May 9 meeting:
The ISRA Soccer program began on May 4. The fields are marked and ready. Thank you to all involved.
All of the summer softball and baseball registrations are coming in and seem to be fine.
The summer swimming lessons program is starting sign-up beginning the first week of May. We look forward to a good sign up. Families have contacted us daily for our swimming lessons.
The month of May is ourfirst ever “Upper Level” Swimming instruction class. Being taught by Sandra Nymoen. This session sold out in one week. We will host classes in June and July as well. This is for those older students and some adults who need to gain endurance and improved swimming stroke development.
The Manawa School District is joining us again this summer. Their swimming lesson session is full and we will host them beginning June 6 for six instructional periods on Monday’s and Wednesday’s.
We are training on how to use YouTube to create a channel to share our instructional programs and advertise. Training is offered by the Iola-Scandinavia Chamber of Commerce.
