The Helvetia Town Board will convene its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 3, at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, E2544 County Rd GG, Iola, to address routine financial matters, upcoming dues payments, road maintenance priorities, and planned improvements to town facilities.

The session serves as the town’s standard monthly forum for handling administrative, financial, and infrastructure issues in this Waupaca County community. Town Chairman Jeff Oppor will preside, with Supervisors Justin Hintz and Mike Grassl participating.

The open meeting, which welcomes public attendance and input, will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by approval of the minutes from the Feb. 3, regular meeting and town bills. Town officials will present the treasurer’s report and discuss payment of Wisconsin Towns Association (WTA) dues due in March. Fire 2% dues, payable in July, will also receive attention.

Board members will receive updates on recent WTA activities, including a county unit meeting hosted Feb. 19, and Board of Review training attended by Supervisor Mike Grassl on Feb. 27. The agenda includes a note about an upcoming Waupaca County Highway Department appreciation meeting set for March 30 at 6 p.m.

Among key discussion items, the board will consider the “Just Fix It” campaign, a statewide initiative historically aimed at securing funding to protect and maintain local roads. Officials will review road-related concerns, including road limits, snow plowing operations by Chad Bestul, brushing on Carper Road, and proposed 2026 road projects on Carper Road and Moen Lake Court. Supervisor Jeff Oppor and others are expected to lead portions of the road review.

The agenda lists several town hall projects for discussion, including ceiling tiles (led by Supervisor Justin Hintz), ceiling work in the shelter, installation of a lock box, and floor and chair cleaning — all assigned to Oppor or related parties. The board will also address Waupaca County Zoning matters concerning the animal ordinance.

Planning Committee updates from Gary Prill will round out the formal agenda, after which the floor will be opened to public input. The meeting will adjourn following the discussion
