The Town of Harrison met on Monday, April 8, at Northland Lutheran Church and considered a variety of topics including moving the regular monthly meeting date.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dean Lashua. Present at the meeting were Alex Senkvitch, Pam Wellbock, Brandon Schuster, Nick Schaw, Erica Ubanks, John Phillips, Mike Schultz, Carrie Powell, and Fran Moen.
The Treasurer’s report was given. The beginning balance on March 1 was $163,367.42. Deposits for the month totaled $1,498.14 and the total of expenditures was $9,038.59 leaving $155,826.97 in the account on March 31. The Money Market account collected $12.79 in interest for the month leaving a balance of $107,306.86 in the account. The ARPA collected three months of interest totaling $1.90 and has a balance of $7,625.65.
New Business
A request was made by Alex Sendvitch to move the date of the monthly meetings held by the township. The board will look into the request and put it on the agenda for the May meeting.
A motion made by John Phillips and second by Mike Schultz to approve the certified survey map for part of the Sw1/4, NW1/4, Section 15, R25N-R11E done by Michael J. Hoffman Land Surveyor at the request of Pam Wellbock was approved.
A motion, made by Phillips and second by Schultz, to approve Ordinance #108 which sets a speed limit of 45 miles an hour on Helgeson Road was passed.
A motion, made by Schultz and second by Phillips, approved a bartender license for Carried Vruwink.
A motion, made by Phillips and second by Schultz, to sign a contract with the Waupaca Humane Society effective May 1, 2024, until April 30, 2026 carried.
