Harrison Town Board to vote on Gary Seager plat lines on Aug. 11

The Harrison Town Board will convene on Monday, Aug. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Northland Lutheran Church, N9880 State Hwy. 49, Iola, to address key municipal matters, including a pivotal vote on the approval of plat lines for property owner Gary Seager. The meeting, announced in compliance with Wisconsin Open Meeting Laws, will cover routine board business, officer reports, and potential closed session discussions, culminating in action on future agenda planning.

The meeting will be formally called to order after a roll call confirms a quorum. The Board will first verify that legal notice of the meeting was properly issued, followed by the review and expected approval of the minutes from the previous session. Reports from the town clerk and other officers are scheduled next, updating the board on correspondence and administrative activities.

Town officials will also deliver operational updates, providing insights into ongoing projects or community issues. An optional public comment period will give residents a chance to voice concerns or suggestions, which may help shape the direction of future town board meetings.

The highlight of the evening will come during the open session when the Board will deliberate and possibly take action on the approval of plat lines submitted by Gary Seager, a matter expected to influence land use and zoning designations in the township.

Following this, the board may enter into closed session for confidential discussions, as permitted under state statute, although no specific topics for closed session have been publicly disclosed at this time.

Before adjournment, board members will also discuss and potentially set the agenda for upcoming meetings, aiming to ensure transparency and strategic planning in township governance.

The Aug. 11 meeting is open to the public, and all residents are encouraged to attend to stay informed and involved in local decision-making.
