
The Harrison Town Board approved bartender licenses for two individuals and appointed a new town building inspector during its regular monthly meeting held Monday, Feb. 9, at Northland Church. Chairman Dean Lashua presided over the session, which began at 6:30 p.m. and adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
Board members present included Lashua, John Phillips, Carrie Powell, Brandon Schuster, Arnie Kaminski, and Megan Guzman. The board first reviewed and approved the minutes from the previous meeting. Phillips made the motion to accept the minutes, with Lashua providing the second. The motion carried unanimously.
Treasurer’s report showed the town’s general fund began January 2026 with a balance of $504,487.85. Deposits during the month totaled $359,584.66, while expenses amounted to $418,091.25, resulting in an ending balance of $443,981.26 as of January 31, 2026. The Money Market account started the month at $137,615.26, earned $16.97 in interest, and closed at $137,632.23.
In new business, the board addressed bartender licensing. Phillips moved to approve licenses for Melissa Demitrion and Janet Irwin, with Lashua seconding the motion. The motion carried.
The board also noted a change in personnel for the town’s building inspection role. Paul Hahn stepped down as building inspector, and Mike Block was named as his replacement.
Board members discussed various calls and concerns received from residents during the previous month, though no formal actions resulted from those items.
