Harrison Town Board appoints new substitute poll worker

At the regular monthly meeting of the Town of Harrison, held on Monday, July 8, at Northland Church, the board approved a new appointment to bolster its election staff.

Under new business, the board addressed the need for additional poll workers for upcoming elections. John Phillips moved to approve the appointment of Ricci Trigueiro as a Substitute poll worker. Mike Schultz seconded the motion, which was unanimously carried by the board.

Chairman Dean Lashua called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Present at the meeting were board members Arnie Kaminski, Rose Troast, Mike Schultz, John Phillips, Carrie Powell, and Fran Moen.

The Treasurer’s report detailed the town’s financial activities for June. The beginning balance in the checkbook on June 1, was $113,249.37. Deposits for the month amounted to $2,104.80, while expenditures totaled $5,874.72, leaving a balance of $109,479.45 as of June 30. Additionally, the Money Market account earned $12.35 in interest, bringing its balance to $107,346.99, and the ARPA account accrued $1.92 in interest, resulting in a balance of $7,627.57.

The board also discussed various calls and concerns received from residents throughout the month.
