Harold Laverne Floistad Jr.

Harold Laverne Floistad Jr, age 55, of Iola, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021.
He was born on Oct. 2, 1966, in Iola to the late Lenore Kuhrt and Harold L. Floistad Sr.
On April 24, 1993, he married Sherri Olson at Hitterdahl Lutheran Church in Iola.
Harold served in the United States Army in his younger days. Then went to work at the Waupaca Foundry for a short time. He then worked at Sturm Foods in Manawa and made many amazing friends. After leaving there he started driving medical transport for Koeppen.
For the last 30 years he also made and sold lefse with his wife Sherri. Five years ago he had a crazy idea of making a mobile shack and he made it come true, they called it “The Lefse Shack”. He was so proud to interact with everyone that would come up to The Lefse Shack and loved being a part of the community.
Harold was a big family man, and loved his family and friends so much. His kids and grandkids were his everything. He would never miss a bowling tournament, soccer game, or football game. He had such a big heart and would go out of his way to help anyone in need.
Harold had many interests, from collecting Hot Wheels, collecting anything 57 Chevy, playing video games with his kids and grandkids, Geocaching, camping, and doing escape rooms. Harold was happiest when he was surrounded with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Sherri; son Kuhrtis (Mariah) Floistad; daughter Meranda Floistad; grandchildren: Zayden, Leland, Finley, Gannyn, and Lyle; father Harold Floistad Sr.; brothers: Tracy (Wendy) Floistad, John Floistad; sisters: Connie (Harry) Dahms, Karen (Patrick) Vogel, and Sarah Rustad; father- and mother-in-law Roger and Gloria Olson; brother-in-law Scott (Sheila) Olson; and sister-in-law Shelly (Jim) Vollmer. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Lenore Floistad, brother-in-law LeRoy Rustad; and nephews Ryan Dahms and Brandon Floistad.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 15. from 4-8 p.m. at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola. A Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hitterdahl Lutheran Church, Iola, with Rev. Dale Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 1-1:30 p.m.
Interment along with Military Rites will take place in the Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in Iola. We sincerely encourage the wearing of masks and that physical distancing is observed.
In lieu of flowers memorial will be appreciated.
