Geraldine “Judy” Johnson

Geraldine “Judy” Johnson, age 82, of Iola, Wisconsin, formerly of Neenah, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judy was born on July 24, 1939, in Neenah, daughter of the late Theodore and Doris (Erickson) Parks. Shortly after graduating from Neenah High School, she married her high school sweetheart Lawrence “Lorny” Johnson. Judy and Lorny enjoyed 58 years of marriage before he passed away in 2017.
Judy was an award-winning photographer and garnered numerous awards at art shows throughout Wisconsin. She was extremely passionate about her photography and always had a way of capturing the perfect moment. She was a charter member of the Mid Wisconsin Photography Group and didn’t hesitate to mentor less experienced photographers.
Judy is survived by her son Steve Johnson (Lynn Lauersdorf); granddaughter Brandy Johnson (Karl Palmgren); grandson Ted (Sarah) Johnson; and great-grandchildren Jack, Alex and Natalie. She is further survived by a brother John (Darlene) Parks; sisters-in-law Mardee Parks and Darlene Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to Lorny, Judy was preceded in death by a brother Jim Parks; sisters-in-law Marion Burrow and Joyce Beckerson; and a brother-in-law Howie Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, at Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. For online condolences, please visit: www.kesslerfh.com.
