Future fundraisers for I-S School District student groups

The Iola-Scandinavia School Board to decide on approval of student group fundraisers at its Tuesday, Sept. 9, meeting.

The proposed fundraisers are:

DECA Pie Sale, Oct. 28 to Oct. 11, students sell pies sourced through food services to raise money to offset students’ participation and travel expenses, anticipated revenue is $5,000, anticipated expenses $2,500, and anticipated profit $2,500.

DECA Trick of Can, Oct. 21 or Oct. 28, the group’s annual food drive, students collect non-perishable food items from community members for the local food bank.

High School Yearbook, advertising sales for sponsorship to offset the price of the yearbook for students. Anticipated revenue $1,000, anticipated profit $1,000.

FCCLA, Sept. 30 to Oct. 11, KwikTrip car wash and gift certificate, get five Ultimate washes for $36, help students pay membership dues, pay for competitive events, lodging, and conference expenses. Anticipate revenue $1,800, anticipate expenses $1,000, anticipated profit $800.

FCCLA, Sept. 30 to Oct. 11, Rubie Reds Cranberry Products, to raise funds for competitive events, leadership conferences, and chapter activities. Anticipated revenue $500, anticipated expenses $200, anticipated profit $200.

FCCLA and DECA, Break Time Snack Cart, during class break at middle school and high school to fund CTSO activities, anticipated profit is $2,000, to be split between the two groups.
