  • ALL-STARS: Iola-Scandinavia Band and Choir Students recently participated in the CWC All-Star Festival at Tri-County Area Schools. Congratulations and job well done to all of the Iola-Scandinavia students who were nominated and selected to participate in this unique event: Band – Lara Palmer, Flute; Ryan Kampert, Alto Saxophone; and Joey Cherek, Bass Clarinet. Choir – Mia Brier, Soprano; Kelly Jones, Alto; Macayla Kizewski, Alto; Maleah Lewis, Tenor; Micah Maggio, Baritone; Willow Otremba, Alto; Leah Petersen, Alto; MacKenzie Woyak, Alto.
  • NORSEMAN CHALLENGE:The Iola Norseman Challenge is this upcoming Sunday, Jan. 29. Once again there will be multiple events: a 10km classic race, 20km freestyle race, 3.3km junior high race, 5.5km senior high race, and a free 1km kid’s race.   • VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:The Iola Winter Sports Club received a few fluffy inches of snow last night! It is shaping up to be a beautiful weekend of skiing. But – we need volunteers this weekend! If you have a few hours to give, please sign up for a volunteer shift at our rental counter. This is one of the best ways to help IWSC and help get people out on skis.
  • SPIRIT PUMPS SUPPORTING I-S SCHOOLS: Iola-Scandinavia Schools received $1,069.60 in 4th quarter proceeds from Spirit Pumps located at Iola Cenex and the Scandinavia C Store. The total amount received for the 3rd and 4th quarter of 2022 was $2,159.26!
