KORZ COMMITMENT TARGET: Nationally ranked tight end Korz Loken from Iola-Scandinavia is the No. 1 state prospect for collegiate recruiting in 2027. He has targeted his commitment date as Jan. 10, 2026, according to a Sports Illustrated article. Besides Wisconsin, he has been recruited by major schools like Notre Dame, Florida State, Indiana, Auburn, Illinois, and Minnesota. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound athlete is ranked as a Top 5 tight end in the country by 247 Sports, while ESPN ranks him as a Top 200 player nationwide.

DAM MEETING: City of Manawa and Town of Little Wolf officials met with Gov. Tony Evers and his staff on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Madison concerning the Manawa dam. A spillway dam is expected to cost $8.4 million.

JUDGE’S TRIAL NEARS: Federal prosecutors charged Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan this spring with obstruction and concealing an individual to prevent arrest. They allege she showed 31-year-old Eduardo Flores-Ruiz out of her courtroom through a back door when she learned federal authorities were in the courthouse looking to arrest him.
