  • EDUCATIONAL GRANTS: Educational grants totaling $1,700 have been made by the Rotary Club of Waupaca to the Iola-Scandinavia School District. A $1000 grant is for middle and high school library books for teacher lead book clubs to promote the importance of literacy. A second grant of $700 is for materials to take students through the process of planting a garden and growing food plants as a partial replacement for the agricultural department which was eliminated years ago. Over the past 13 years, the club has awarded educational grants totaling $105,613 to local teachers.
