ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL: According to Chris Nelson, district administrator for the School District of Iola-Scandinavia, the CESA 5 Alternative School is to be located in the old nursing home on the corner of Iola Street and Chet Krause Drive.

‘UNCLE FESTER’ CONVICTED: Stephen Preisler, the author widely recognized as “Uncle Fester,” was convicted on Thursday in Waupaca County for violating his bond conditions by having contact with his daughter, who had been designated by the court as a “prohibited individual.” As a result of this violation, Preisler received a probation sentence. Preisler, age 67, rose to notoriety as “Uncle Fester” for authoring books detailing the production of substances such as ricin and methamphetamine, among others. Read the WLUK story here.
