FIRST MONDAY TRAIL RACES: The Iola Winter Sports Club will be hosting a new event called First Monday Trail Races (5k) because they are scheduled to take place on the first Monday in June (2), July (7), and August (4). Each will start at 5:30 p.m. Each month there will be a new course for the racers – think fun, exciting, introductory trail races for everyone! The club will host a vertical challenge race each series night where participants will attempt to be the first to run from the bottom of the 60-meter ski jump landing to the takeoff. There will be a free 1k kids race and plenty for kiddos to do while the races are going on – from music, food, mountain bike skills area, etc.
