CHURCH MERGERS: The Iola and Manawa Methodist Churches have merged with Center Emanuel to create a three-point charge for Pastor Leo. As a result, the Sunday worship service in Iola is at 8 a.m. The Iola Christmas Eve service is at 3 p.m.
DEER ANTLER COLLECTION: Hunters who wish to donate the antlers from their deer harvest to support Leader Dogs for the Blind can drop them in a box located at JR’s Sport Shop in Iola. The Iola Lions are sponsoring this collection.
SWIM TEAM REGISTRATION: If you are a student in the Iola-Scandinavia School District and want to participate on the swim team, there will be a meeting on Monday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m. in the Iola-Scandinavia Fitness and Aquatic Center’s (ISFAC) Mishler Room. The coach is Bobby Kuhns. Family members of ISFAC will pay between $150-$295 and non-family members between $175-$345, depending on the number of children in the family participating.
