Around Town

SCANDINAVIA PUBLIC LIBRARY: The library’s “All Together Now” summer reading program is officially over, and what a summer it’s been! Sixty-five readers participated in summer reading this year, and together they recorded a total of 2,927 days of reading — utterly demolishing our community goal of 1,854 days of reading! These readers also earned 103 Book Buck certificates to use when they next visit one of our local business partners.

WSAW-TV SPEAKS WITH WELCH: “Growing up in Iola, it’s hard not to become a Packers fan. Kristian Welch is an example of that, even attending a handful of Packers games as a kid. In fact, it was walking through the Packers’ famed tunnel onto the field while on a school tour that he realized he was close to achieving the dream,” the story starts. Read the entire story here.
