  • Way to go Ethan Kubisiak! He set a bowling goal of qualifying for Junior Gold 2023. Not only was he able to qualify but he took first at Wisconsin State USBC Youth Masters last weekend!
  • The Iola Car Show has entered into an agreement with the Kriewaldt Family for the purpose of managing the liquidation of vehicles and auto related property located west of the car show ground. “The Kriewaldt Family is excited to partner with the Iola Car Show in this endeavor. The expertise of Car Show staff will help ensure that maximum value will be achieved through the disposition, while at the same time helping to advance the automotive collector hobby,” stated Rob Kriewaldt.   • Now on the StoryWalk® in Jorgens Park Preserve is “Bone Soup” by Cambria Evans, our last book for the 2022 season! This fun Halloween favorite tells the story of a travelling skeleton who tricks a town’s witches, ghouls, and zombies into helping him make a supernaturally savory soup! The StoryWalk® is a 0.4-mile loop trail near the shore of Silver Lake in Scandinavia, Wisconsin that families can walk while reading pages from a children’s picture book that have been placed along the trail.   • Hop Into The holidays, downtown Scandinavia, will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 5-9 p.m. Participating businesses are: Adeline’s Antiques, Country Chic Boutique, Odin & Freja’s Place, Reba’ Personal Touch Pet Salon, The Runestick, ScandiHus, and Sliced Pizza. There will also be pop-up vendors.
  • Have a youth interested in skiing? The Iola Winter Sports Club will have ski sign up at the club on December 3, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Parents are encouraged to volunteer as a coach.
