IOLA SAND MINE: Waupaca County Planning and Zoning Committee will revisit its vote denying a permit to Faulks Bros. for developing a sand mine on Iola Car Show property at a future committee meeting. The committee met in closed session on Oct. 2. Faulks Bros. has filed litigation against the county in Waupaca County Circuit Court concerning Act 67, which allows such mining if conditional use requirements are met.

IOLA VILLAGE LIBRARY:Stop by the library to pick up a Stem project! Pick a pumpkin from its pumpkin patch as well as a pumpkin journal. Explore and learn about the lifecycle and all the different parts of a pumpkin!

SOLAR ECLIPSE PARTY: The Scandinavia Village Library will have a solar eclipse party on Oct. 14 starting at 10:30 a.m. Make a pin-hole viewer and watch the eclipse. Peak viewing is at 11:55 a.m.
