Erich Carl Kleditz

Erich Carl Kleditz, age 75, of Scandinavia, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021.
He was born on Nov. 9, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Erich and Gertrude (Dunn) Kleditz.
On Jan. 10, 1976, he married Maureen McCarthy in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
Carl was a loving husband and father. He always thought of others before himself. Carl was a hard worker, having to finish anything he started before moving on to the next project.
After graduating from Iola-Scandinavia High School, Carl joined the USMC, proudly serving in the Vietnam war.
Upon his discharge he returned to Waupaca, married, started a family (son Erich). Carl became employed at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, as a pharmacy technician. A few years later he joined the nursing staff as a CNA. When he retired from WVH he went to Sturm Foods in Manama, as a forklift operator.
Carl loved playing cards, was an avid deer hunter, Packer fan and a skilled wood worker. There wasn’t anything Carl couldn’t fix. His family was his world.
Carl is survived by his wife Maureen; son, Erich (Lisa) Kleditz of Sherwood, Oregon, their two sons Logan and Ian Kleditz; daughter-in-law Amber Joers, Ogdensberg, Wisconsin; two nephews, Cliff (Kim) Diedrich, Casey (Jenny) Diedrich; sister-in-law Kit Fletcher; and brother-in-law Dick McCarthy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son Collin Kleditz, father Erich Alfred Kleditz, mother Gertrude Anna (Dunn) Kleditz, and twin sister Carolyn Diedrich and brother-in -aw Dick Diedrich.
A Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Voie Funeral Home, Iola, Wisconsin, with Janice Kuder, officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:30–2 p.m. at the funeral home.
