Edna F. Bickley

Edna F. Bickley, age 100, of Scandinavia, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born on January 6, 1922, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to the late Curtis and Ina (MacKenzie) Osborn.

On June 21, 1940, she married Clyde Bickley in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Together they raised four children: two sons and two daughters.

In June of 1957, they purchased a dairy farm in Mosinee, Wisconsin, and in 1967 they moved to Iola and farmed with their daughter Carolyn and son-in-law Leroy and their son Stanley and daughter-in-law Joann. In 1975 they retired to a small farm in Scandinavia, Wisconsin.

Edna was known to be a great cook, loved her flowers and gardening along with pets. She was faithful, a hard worker, and she was content with whatever situation she was in. Edna loved her family, was inspiring to all and was a living and walking testimony to all who knew her. 

Edna is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Leroy) Borth of Iola; two sons, Stanley (Joann) Bickley of Oceanside, California, Philip (Helen) Bickley of Wausau, Wisconsin; two sisters, Janet Sallee and Helen Hamilton both of Mt. Vernon, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, one step-grandchild, 17 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Bickley in 2005, daughter Ina Lewis, sister Margaret Williamson, brother Thomas Osborn, brother Benjamin Osborn, and sister Louise Osborn.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, 11 a.m. at Iola United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Rice, officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place in the Iola Riverside Community Cemetery in Iola.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to the Iola United Methodist Church.
