A Farm Climate Smart WI event

Join Wisconsin Farmers Union for Stories of Hope, Resilience, and Adaptability for Women and Girls in Farming at the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay on Tuesday, June 11 from 1-3 p.m.! Wisconsin Farmers Union is hosting this Farm Climate Smart WI event to bring area farmers together for a mini-storytelling workshop and sharing session where attendees can learn from others and build community around shared experiences.
The event is free to attend and open to women farmers from all backgrounds, as well as those who support them. Featured speakers include Heather Toman from Full Circle Community Farm and Jamie Popp from edibleNEW magazine. Heather will share her farming experiences and the role of conservation practices at Full Circle Community Farm. Jamie will discuss how storytelling can strengthen local food promotions.
The event will include:
- Featured speakers, Heather and Jamie,
- Time for self-reflection and writing/drawing/creating your own story, and
- A sharing session with time for connection and networking among attendees.
