Crystal Café offers Community Plate program for those in need

By Judy Bolier

When times get tough, this little town has always taken care of its own. With the government shutdown affecting so many, I wanted to offer a small way to help. So, starting Wednesday, Nov. 5th, and until the shutdown ends, the Crystal Café will be offering a free dine-in meal through something I’m calling our Community Plate program.

If you’re hungry, please stop in. No questions, no judgment.

Choose from: Two eggs any style, toast, and a cup of coffee; or Soup of the Day and our designated sandwich. You don’t need to be a federal employee or on SNAP. This offer is dine-in-only.

Sometimes life is just heavy, and hunger shouldn’t be part of it. Everyone deserves to eat with dignity, and a warm seat helps more than you know.
