Locals will soon gather for fun, food, and fundraising at the second annual “A Day on the Lake Fundraiser”, hosted by the Silver Lake Management Committee. The event will occur on Saturday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jorgens Park Preserve, located on Highway 49 in Scandinavia, Wisconsin.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Silver Lake, this family-friendly fundraiser aims to raise money for lake preservation efforts, with a focus on the control and maintenance of aquatic invasive species that threaten the lake’s health and ecosystem.
Visitors will enjoy an array of activities throughout the day. The highlight will be a live music performance by local artist Galynne Goodwill, who is scheduled to take the stage from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction, indulge in homemade treats at the bake sale, and browse through unique finds at the craft sale. Food lovers can look forward to classic cookout fare, including pulled pork sandwiches, brats, hot dogs, and a variety of drinks and side dishes.
All community members are invited to attend. Those wishing to contribute beyond their attendance are encouraged to donate items for the silent auction or offer monetary support.
With warm weather in the forecast and plenty of activities on tap, “A Day on the Lake” promises to be both an entertaining and memorable afternoon for all who attend.
