Charlene Stella Rollyson
January 2, 1939 – November 18, 2022

Charlene Stella Rollyson, 83, of Iola, Wisconsin, passed away on Nov. 18, 2022, at her residence with her family at her side.
Char was born on Jan. 2, 1939, in Winona, Minnesota, to the late Laura Bescup.
She married Robert Rollyson on Aug. 9, 1958. He preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 2020.
Char had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest right to the end. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an accomplished quilter who loved to play cards and the banjo.
She worked as a clerk for American Freight and as a biller for Soo Line Railroad. After ‘retirement’ she worked for Cady’s Corner Bar and Living Oaks Assisted Living Home.
She kept busy in retirement with quilting, bowling, cribbage, and the Iola Lioness Club. She was an active member of the Iola community for many years and made many quilts to donate to charitable causes.
Char is survived by her daughter Susan Blanco; granddaughter Heather (Scott) Brock; two grandsons Christopher Blanco, Jacob Blanco; great-granddaughters Mina Alana Brock, Quinn Piper Brock, and Remington Marie Blanco.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m. at Voie Funeral Home in Iola with Rev. Kent Wallace, Pastor of Scandinavia Lutheran Church, officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
A lunch and time for fellowship will be held at Silver Lake Lanes in Scandinavia at 2:30 p.m., immediately following the funeral service.
Interment will be next to Robert at the Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery in Scandinavia.
