Carol Jean Carlson

Carol Jean Carlson, age 86, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1938, in the Town of Harrison, Waupaca County, Wisconsin, to Julian and Margaret (Hoffman) Merde.

Carol is survived by her husband, Clarence; children, Craig Carlson and Cari (Russ) Delury; grandchildren, Marissa Scheinoha, Steven Carlson, Madalyn Boardman, and Abigail Carlson; and great-grandchildren, Seiya Nguyen and Lucia Barrett.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Margaret (Hoffman) Merde; sister, Marian Carlson (Donald); and brothers, Julian (Carole) Merde, Richard Merde, and Donald Merde.

The funeral service for Carol will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola, Wisconsin, with the Rev. Bill Stukenberg officiating. Visitation will be held at Voie Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m-12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Internment will be at Northland Lutheran Cemetery.
