Scholarships up to $500 to qualifying high school seniors in her district is being offered by State Sen. Joan Ballweg (R-Markesan).
Applications are being accepted now through Monday, March 28.
Scholarship eligibility is open to all graduating seniors continuing their education in a two-year technical college program or a four-year baccalaureate degree program. Students must be graduating with at least a 3.0 average on a 4.0-point scale and must reside in the district.
If you are unsure whether or not you reside in the 14th Senate District, you can visit the legislature’s website at www.legis.wisconsin.gov. Then type in your address under “Find My Legislators” to determine your home district.
“Over the years, I have offered almost 90 scholarships to area students. I always enjoy seeing what these incredible young leadership end up achieving.” said Ballweg. “My hope is always that these students take their work ethic, leadership skills and community values into college and on to the workforce.”
