• LittleWolf Gallery business hours update: It’s an Art and Birthday Week for LittleWolf Gallery! Donovan is turning older, wiser, and better looking. It will be closed on Thursday, Cinco de Mayo, for a field Trip to Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. Saturday, Donovan will be spending birthday time with his daughter and friends, so it will be closed on Saturday, May 7, as well.

• Silver Lakes Lanes has started summer business hours, so it will be closed on Tuesday for the summer.

• A fire destroyed a home on April 27 on County Trunk P, Town of Harrison. A person was inside the structure. Police are waiting for identification of the body and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

• Donations are being solicited for improvement to the Iola-Scandinavia School District’s track. The goal is to raise $200,000. Donations should be given to Sarah Thiel, district business manager, at Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School, 450 Division Street, Iola.

• Northland Sports Bar and Grill is now open on Mondays.
