Arlene M. Bucholtz
January 19, 1926 – December 4, 2022

Arlene passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022 at age 96, in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Arlene, was born and raised in Iola, Wisconsin. After high school she moved to Milwaukee, where she met and married a wonderful man named Gordy. There they raised their two children, Tom and David.
Arlene was a dedicated stay-at-home mom, loving grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt and friend. She treasured her children and especially embraced her role as grandmother to Becky and Michael. She was an excellent cook, and was always ready to peel an apple for the grandkids.
Keeping with her Norwegian heritage, she occasionally returned to Iola for lutefisk/meatball dinners. Thanksgiving at her home will never be equaled, where she always made sure lefsa was on the table. Her recipes for Chicky-Lickey soup and turkey stuffing will live on, but never be as good as when she made it.
In her younger years, she donated her time at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church altar guild and visiting nursing homes. Although we threatened to teach her, she never drove a car. After Gordy passed, Arlene remained in her home until six years ago, when she moved to assisted living and memory care.
Special shout out to her neighbor/bestie, Maureen Doyle, for her lifelong friendship.
To say Arlene will be missed is an understatement. She now joyfully will be reunited with her husband Gordy, son David and brothers George, Myron, and Carl.
Visitation will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park – Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Friday, Dec. 16, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Service at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow.
