Ann Marie Ruhoff
March 18, 1957 – September 21, 2025
Ann Marie Ruhoff, 68, of Scandinavia, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025.
She was born on March 18, 1957, in Pine River, Wisconsin, to the late Frank Sr. and Patricia (Huebner) Bauer. Her folks moved to Scandinavia in 1962, where she grew up on the family farm.
She worked very hard, like all her siblings. Ann graduated from Iola Scandinavia High School in 1975, then attended Fox Valley Tech and majored in the handicapped children assistance program. She moved back home and worked at the Crystal Cafe in Iola as a waitress and made many friends. Ann worked at Subway in Iola for 22 years, making many friends.
She met Tom Ruhoff there and married him on Oct. 15, 1982, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca.
Everyone will miss Ann so, so much. For many years, Ann and her Mom were the rocks of the family. Planning all the family get-togethers; making sure all had enough to eat and having a good time. Ann enjoyed reading books, especially mysteries. Ann was such a giving person, never asking much in return.
Ann is survived by her husband, Tom; children, Adam Ruhoff, Amanda (Walter Campbell) Ruhoff, and Alyce (Matt Gamez) Ruhoff; grandchildren, Madelynne Davis, Aiden Gamez, Sophia Gamez, and William Gamez; siblings, Fran (Steve) Heckman, Greg (Kathy) Bauer, Peter (Lisa) Bauer, David (Dianne) Bauer, Mary Ellen (Bob) Lewinski, Kathy (Paul) Shanklin, Frank (Ruth) Bauer Jr., and Patrick (Tammy) Bauer.
She was preceded in death by a sister Ellen Bauer, age 6, her parents, Frank Sr. and Patricia Bauer, son-in-law Thomas George, and husband of Amanda Ruhoff.
A public visitation will be held at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola on Friday, Sept. 26, from 3-8 p.m., and a private family service will follow on Saturday.
May she rest in peace now.
Love from family, friends, and most of all her husband, Tom!
