Ann Cecilia Trzebiatowski

February 17, 1929 – August 14, 2025

Ann Cecilia (Gilmeister) Trzebiatowski, 96, formerly of Rosholt, Wisconsin, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025. She resided in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, for the last few years at Dimensions Living Assistance.

Ann was born on Feb. 17, 1929, in the Town of Alban, Portage County, to John and Alexandra (Kieruczenko) Gilmeister.

Ann married Frank Trzebiatowski on Sept. 10, 1949, at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Rosholt. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2013.

Ann and her husband owned and operated the Alban Store for over 20 years. After they sold the store, Ann went to work at Herrschner’s in Stevens Point. Later, she worked at Copps grocery store as a food demonstration person. Ann also enjoyed working at Saint Adalbert’s fish fries.

Her baking of delicious pies and cookies was shared with the school children and her neighbors. Ann looked forward to the annual family fishing trip to Pine Lake, and traveling to many destinations with Frank. She was a member of Saint Adalbert’s Ladies Rosary Society, the church choir, and the Nelson-Kaminski American Legion Post 509 Auxiliary.

Ann is survived by her children, Dennis Trzebiatowski of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Mary (James) Jenson of Iola, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Tammy (Matt Marcy) Louison, James (Sherri) Lashua, Laura (Mike) Karolus, Jennifer (Chris) Coppock, Melinda (Nicholas) Trinkner, and Sara Trzebiatowski; great-grandchildren, Nicholas (Malea Tessen) and Braden Louison, Jacob and Ethan Lashua, Grace and Quinn Coppock, and Nevaeh and Savannah Trinkner. She is further survived by one sister, Agnes Filtz of Galloway, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, John and Alexandra (Kieruczenko) Gilmeister; sisters, Mary Pezewski, Katherine Stanislawski, Angeline Lorbecki, and Regina Trzebiatowski; and brothers, Frankie, Harry, Max, Stanley, and John Gilmeister Jr.

The Funeral Mass for Ann will be held at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father Francis X. Dias officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will be next to Frank at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Cemetery.
