Meanwhile, anticipation brews for the Iola Lions Club meeting themed around Agribusiness Night, set to commence at Crystal Café at 5:30 p.m.
March 20
The day kicks off with Pre-School Story Time at 10 a.m. at the Iola Village Library, a cherished event for families in the area. In the afternoon, at 1 p.m., Scandinavia Lutheran Church welcomes attendees for a Prayer Ministry session.
Later, at 3:30 p.m., Our Savior’s Lutheran Church hosts its Confirmation Class, followed by a Lenten Supper sponsored by Confirmation students at 5:15 p.m. Simultaneously, Iola United Methodist Church begins its Lenten Services at 5:30 p.m., while Redeemer Lutheran Church holds a Lenten Service themed “Death” at 6:30 p.m.
Wrapping up the evening, Northland Sports Bar & Grill fills with the lively tunes of Bluegrass Music starting at 7 p.m.
March 21
Scandinavia Municipal Center opens its doors at 8 a.m. for Community Coffee, offering a chance for locals to connect over a cup of joe. Crafting enthusiasts gather at Scandinavia Public Library at 10 a.m. for a Crafting Bee. Meanwhile, Silver Lake Lanes hosts a Cribbage Tournament at 1 p.m., and Iola Village Hall welcomes bridge players at the same time.
Sports enthusiasts can catch the Iola-Scandinavia High School Boys and Girls Varsity Track Invitationals at various locations, the boys start at 4 p.m. at Wausau West High School, and the girls at 4:30 p.m. at Marshfield High School Frederick Construction House.
The evening schedule has Fresh Hope at Scandinavia Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. and an Ad Board meeting at Iola United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m.
Music lovers can head to Odin & Freja’s Place for Open Mic night, starting at 7 p.m.

St. Mary Magdalene on Shadow Road in Waupaca invites families to join in an Easter Egg Hunt following the 10 a.m. Mass, promising crafts, prizes, and fun for all ages. Vinyl Sundays wrap up the week’s events at Odin & Freja’s Place starting at 7 p.m.
